In the heart of Salzburg's old town
The Haus der Natur is located in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town between the banks of the River Salzach (Franz-Josefs-Kai) and the Museum Square (Museumsplatz), where the museum entrance is located. The main wing of the museum is housed in a historic building built by Fischer von Erlach in 1713-26. It is a listed building and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center of the City of Salzburg.
